Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024 to be held at Mahatma Mandir on July 19

The Gujarat Government will host the Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024 to strengthen the state’s growing semiconductor ecosystem and attract global investments.

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat is set to organise the Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024 on July 19, 2024, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and will witness participation from leading semiconductor companies, global experts, and policymakers.

The event is being held at a time when Gujarat is emerging as a key destination for semiconductor manufacturing in India. Companies such as Tata Electronics, Micron Technology, and CG Power—which have approved semiconductor projects in the state—are partnering with the government as Knowledge Partners. Invest India and the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) will also support the conference.

The primary objective of Gujarat Semiconnect 2024 is to promote and facilitate the integration of local industries into the semiconductor value chain. The conference will provide a platform for interaction between project proponents and domestic manufacturers from allied sectors such as chemicals, gases, automation, electronics, IT, and logistics.

Senior industry leaders including Randhir Thakur, CEO of Tata Electronics, Arun Murugappan, Executive Chairman of Tube Investments, and Gursharan Singh, Senior Vice President of Micron, are expected to attend the conference. The Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC), Homer Chang, will deliver a special address highlighting global collaboration opportunities.

International organisations such as JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) will participate as knowledge partners, reflecting Gujarat’s efforts to strengthen global ties in the semiconductor sector.

The conference will also feature structured business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, enabling direct engagement between local industries, global companies, and government officials. These sessions aim to unlock new partnerships, investments, and long-term growth opportunities.

Several industry associations including CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, GCCI, ELCINA, ICEA, GESIA, SGCCI, and others are actively collaborating for the event, highlighting strong industry support for Gujarat’s vision of becoming a leading semiconductor manufacturing hub in India.
