Gujarat Budget 2025 Highlights: In the Gujarat Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai has made big announcements in the budget for the state's industry and mining sector. The budget has made a provision of Rs 8958 crore for the industry and mining sector. In the budget speech, Kanubhai Desai said that Gujarat has implemented new policies for MSME, manufacturing, and startups to promote new industries and attract investors. Due to this today, a vibrant economy has become the identity of Gujarat. The government is continuously moving forward in areas like industrial parks, cluster development and infrastructure improvement, employment, and skill development to attract global investment through special economic zones and financial hubs.
Announcement in Gujarat Budget for Industry and Mining
Provision of ₹785 crores for ongoing deep-sea projects at Ankleshwar, Sarigam, Vap,I, and Surat as well as new deep-sea projects at Ahmedabad, Jambusar, and Saykha.
A total of ₹515 crore has been provided, including ₹290 crore for developing a bulk drug park at Jambusar in Bharuch and ₹225 crore for raw water supply through a 42 km long pipeline.
Provision of ₹300 crore for Assistants for the Raw Water Supply Pipeline Project on a PPP basis at Navsari with the Government of India under PM Mitra Park.
Provision of an estimated ₹200 crore for the integrated residential township as well as social infrastructure facilities such as a hospital, school, fire station at Dholera Special Investment Region.
Provision of ₹25 crore under Gujarat Integrated Logistics and Logistics Facilities Assistance Scheme-2021.
Provision of ₹ 890 crore for Cottage and Village Industries Department.
The state government is actively working to take Vocal for Local forward by creating self-employment and livelihood opportunities for artisans associated with cottage, village industries, handicrafts and khadi sectors, thereby continuously improving their income and standard of living.
Provision of ₹76 crore under the package scheme for cooperative societies producing handicrafts and handloom items.
Provision of ₹51 crore for assistance on Khadi production to artisans and institutions associated with Khadi production.
Provision of ₹25 crore to create a system to make the toolkit available to beneficiaries at the local level through e-vouchers under the Manav Kalyan Yojana.
