Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024 to be held at Mahatma Mandir on July 19

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Government is organizing the Gujarat Semiconnect Conference on July 19, 2024, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will inaugurate the conference, seeing participation from top executives of leading semiconductor supply-chain industries globally.

Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, and CG Power, approved project proponents building semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, are collaborating with the government as knowledge partners for the conference. Invest India and ISM (India Semiconductor Mission) will also participate as Knowledge Partners.

The primary objective of Gujarat Semiconnect 2024 is to promote, encourage, and facilitate local industries to expand and diversify their product lines, integrating into the growing semiconductor ecosystem in the state. The conference will serve as a platform to foster interactions among project proponents and connect local industries with advocates from chemical, gas, automation, electronics, IT, and allied sectors.

Industry leaders such as Randhir Thakur, CEO of Tata Electronics; Arun Murugappan, Executive Chairman of Tube Investments; and Gursharan Singh, SVP of Micron, among others, will attend. The Director General of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Center (TECC), Homer Chang, will deliver a special address. JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) are also international knowledge partners for the conference.

Set against Gujarat’s emerging semiconductor manufacturing sector backdrop, the conference provides a platform for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings that directly connect local players with business leaders and government officials. Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024 aims to unlock numerous growth opportunities, partnerships, and advancements in the state and India’s semiconductor sector.

Several local and national industry associations, including ISEA, ELCINA, ICEA, ICC, GCA, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, GCCI, KCCI, SIA, SGCCI, GESIA, VCCI, and Rajkot Engineering Association (REC), are actively collaborating and participating in the conference.
