Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the Dholera Special Investment Region. Meanwhile, the activities of infrastructure work and other projects under construction in this Greenfield Industrial Smart City were monitored. The CM was joined by the Chief Principal Secretary along with senior secretaries including Chief Minister's Advisor.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the site of Dholera SIR on Thursday morning and inspected the work being done in the 22.54 km activation area of Phase-1. The Chief Minister was informed that more than 95 percent of the work of Phase-1 has been completed and now Dholera is ready to open up new opportunities for investment through the global ecosystem.
Dholera Special Investment Region covers 22 villages of
Dholera taluka of Ahmedabad district and an area of 920 sq km.
Not only this, world-class core infrastructure is available in this well-planned city. The smart city will also help in creating huge skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities with facilities like a 72 km strong internal road network with a dedicated underground service corridor, and 150 MLD water supply.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reviewed the performance of the entire project in a high-level meeting after visiting the Phase-1 activation area. During the presentation and discussion given in this meeting, it was stated that Dholera with ultra-modern infrastructure and large land parcels in Defense and aerospace, Engineering, Auto and auto Ancillaries, Pharmaceutical, Agro and food Processing, Renewable Energy, and IT. The location is also favorable for electronics sector industries.
The Chief Minister also learned about the vast potential in Dholera for industries in new sectors like semiconductor and display facilities and green hydrogen.
Dholera has also become important for cluster development of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation is taking the initiative to implement this project, details of which were also presented to the Chief Minister.
Dholera Industrial Smart City will make an important
contribution to inducing sustainable development through next-generation
technology development in infrastructure sectors, he was told during the site
visit of the Chief Minister of the Dholera project.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel provided the necessary guidance to quickly equip Dholera SIR with the presence of world-class industries in the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India@2047 and a self-reliant India.
Chief Secretary Rajkumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Kailashanathan, Advisor SS Rathore, Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi CEO of Dholera SIR Supreet Gulati, and senior secretaries also joined the Chief Minister in this meeting.
